AFTERCARE

LASH EXTENSIONS

DON'T GET THEM WET FOR 24 HOURS. Getting them wet within this time frame will break down the bond of the glue therefore aiding in poor retention of the lash extensions.

STAY OIL-FREE FOR THE LIFE OF THE LASHES. Oils (like sweat) break down the glue aiding in poor retention. Use oil-free eye products at all times. (I.e. eye makeup removers, eyeliners, sunscreen, eye creams.)

WASH AND BRUSH YOUR LASHES DAILY. After the first 24 hours It is a MUST to gently wash your lashes every day with an oil-free lash cleanser to prolong the life of your lash extensions, and to maintain the health of your natural lashes. Brush your lashes with a spoolie after getting them wet so that they dry properly.

DON'T PICK OR PULL THEM. This can damage your own natural lashes.

BE GENTLE WITH YOUR LASHES. When it comes to cleansing, removing eye makeup, sleeping or just any daily actions, be gentle with your lashes. The more aggressive you are with them the shorter the life span of the extensions including damage to your natural lashes.

SLEEP ON YOUR BACK. Sleeping on your back prevents premature lash shedding.

KEEP THEM AWAY FROM STEAM AND HIGH HEAT. Steam aids in poor retention, and high heat from a source like an oven will singe your synthetic lashes.

EYE MAKEUP AND REMOVAL: NO mascaras, lash strips, or cream or gel eyeliners ever. If you choose to wear mascara on your bottom lashes, never use waterproof mascaras. Liquid eyeliners are fine just as long as they are NOT waterproof. Micellar water is safest and best for removing any eye makeup. Keep cotton swabs and pads away from extensions - their fibers can snag onto the extensions therefore irritating your eye(s).

GET A LASH FILL EVERY 2-3 WEEKS. You lose 2 to 5 of your natural lashes each day which means that at 2 or 3 weeks a fill will be necessary. Anything past 4 weeks will require you to book a new, full set. Keep in mind, the amount of your retention reflects the price of your fill.

THOROUGHLY WASH YOUR LASHES BEFORE EVERY LASH FILL. Just like your first appointment, arrive with clean lashes, free of any and ALL oils and makeup residues - anything that can accumulate on your lashes from not washing them properly and daily. If you arrive to your appointment with dirty lashes (oils, dirt, leftover makeup) you run the risk of experiencing poor retention afterwards due to a coat of residue, oils, dirt or dust that were left over on your lashes.

LASH LIFTS

FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS: Do not expose lashes to excess hot water or steam. Do not apply any mascaras, gels or lash products onto the lashes. Do not rub or play with your lashes. Do not sleep on your face or lashes as this can negatively affect the shape of your lift. (*This is for the first 48 hours.*)

BROW LAMINATIONS

FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS:

Do not get them wet. Do not have a hot bath/shower or use a sauna, steam room or swimming pool.

Avoid eye makeup for 12 hours. To avoid irritation, do not rub or touch the eyebrow area. Do not spend too long in direct sunlight as this will weaken the perm effect and fade the tint color. Chlorine and certain skincare products will shorten the effects of the perm and tints.

TO MAINTAIN YOUR LAMINATION:

  • Apply castor oil to your brows nightly.

  • Use a brow gel during the day to keep them styled.

  • Try to use oil-free makeup remover at all times.

MICROBLADING

DAY 1:

Wash brows gently every hour with gentle soap and water (cetaphl preferred) and pat dry. Apply a thin layer of Skincandy after they are clean and dry.

DAY 2:

Wash brows gently 2-3 times during the day then apply a thin layer of Skincandy after they are clean and dry as in day 1.

DAY 3-10:

No more washing. Keep brows as dry as you can and apply Skincandy 2-3 times a day if you have dry or normal skin. Apply Skincandy 1-2 times if you have oily skin.

  • Do not peel off scabs or scratch at eyebrows as this will remove the pigment from the skin.

  • Avoid sweating and direct sun exposure for 2 weeks.

  • No laser treatments or peels on face for 30 days.

  • No Botox for 4-6 weeks

  • A follow up appointment will need to be made after 5-6 weeks after your procedure.
